Nick and Daion will share their stories and answer questions about how school choice really does work.
11:30 am – 12:00 pm CT and 3:00 – 3:30 pm CT: Milton Friedman was right, part 2! School Choice really does change the nature of K12 education.
Milton Friedman said “The major objective of educational vouchers is much more ambitious. It is to drag education out of the 19 th century – where it has been mired for far too long – and into the 21st century by offering competition on a broad scale.” The recent explosion of school choice programs, and the innovation they have brought, proves this. The EdChoice team will talk about the history of school choice, where the movement stands now and what the future holds as more and more states embrace vouchers, education saving accounts, hybrid homeschooling and other structural changes brought on by school choice.
